My journey started in 2003….
After a year of physical therapy and trying to avoid major back surgery, my body gave out and I could no longer stand up straight or walk without excruciating pain. Hence, my first back surgery. Thankfully, it was a success.
A couple of years passed and, because of over-lifting and stressing my spine, I had to have a second back surgery in October of 2006. Much more extensive than the previous surgery, it left me with very little flexibility or strength.
January, 2007: I was in an accident which caused a severe whiplash of my neck. In addition, my spinal cord was compressed to just millimeters away from injury which could have led to paralysis. Yes, this would be my third surgery, but again, very successful.
A year later, I signed up with Gold’s Gym and took on Natalie Leon as my personal trainer. Natalie has taken me to the top by helping me get back in better shape now than ever before. She is the most knowledgeable personal trainer I have ever had. Aware of my back and neck issues, she has been able to strengthen my whole body without jeopardizing the surgeries I had previously. My workouts are challenging but safe; always leaving me with a great sense of accomplishment and feeling stronger every day. I should also mention that she makes is process fun, we laugh a lot!
Natalie has also been the first person to teach me the proper nutritional path, which is why I have also lost 20+ pounds in less than four months. Because of her guidance in nutrition and incorporating it into my routines on a daily basis, I have been successful in reaching all of my goals in fact I have surpassed them. How great is that?
Thanks Natalie, you’re the best! I’ll see you soon for our next workout!
